Hungry Horse Dam

Hungry Horse Dam is an arch dam in the Western United States, on the South Fork Flathead River in the Rocky Mountains of northwest Montana. It is located in Flathead National Forest in Flathead County, about fifteen miles south of the west entrance to Glacier National Park, nine miles southeast of Columbia Falls, and twenty miles northeast of Kalispell.

Columbia Falls is a town in northwest Montana. About 5,300 people lived there in 2020. The town is only 10 miles from Kalispell and 17 miles from Glacier National Park making it incredibly popular for tourism. Hungry Horse is situated 4 miles northwest of Hungry Horse Dam.
