Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge is a 2,200 acre bird sanctuary, located within the Fairbanks North Star Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska and partially within the city limits of Fairbanks.

The Elmer E. Rasmuson Library is the largest research library in the U.S. state of Alaska, housing just over one million volumes. Located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus, it is named in honor of Elmer E. Elmer E. Rasmuson Library is situated 2½ miles southwest of Middle Lake.

Fairbanks Depot is a freight and passenger railroad station in Fairbanks, Alaska. The station is the northern terminus for Alaska Railroad's Denali Star and Aurora Winter Train routes. Fairbanks Depot is situated 2½ miles south of Middle Lake.
