Portage Lake is a glacial lake in the Chugach National Forest of the U.S. state of Alaska. It sits in a long, heavily glaciated valley, and abuts the calving face of Portage Glacier at its southern end. Portage Lake is situated 2 miles southeast of Moraine.

Begich Peak is a 4,623-foot mountain summit located in the Chugach Mountains, in Anchorage Municipality in the U.S. state of Alaska. The peak is situated in Chugach National Forest, 2.5 mi north of Portage Lake, 5 mi northwest of Whittier, Alaska, 1.8 mi east of Portage Peak, and 1.24 mi southwest of Boggs Peak. Begich Peak is situated 2½ miles north of Moraine.
