Indian is a community in the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, United States. It lies in a valley in the Chugach Mountains near the middle of the north shore of the Turnagain Arm of Cook Inlet. Indian is situated 4½ miles east of Rainbow.

Hope is a census-designated place in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. It is 70 miles south of Anchorage. As of the 2010 census the population was 192, up from 137 in 2000. Hope is situated 6 miles south of Rainbow.
