Mount Aniakchak is a volcano on the western Alaska Peninsula. Part of the Aleutian Volcanic Arc, it was formed by the subduction of the oceanic Pacific Plate under the North American Plate. Mount Aniakchak is situated 2 miles southwest of Surprise Lake.
