The First Oil Well in Western Canada, also known as Lineham Discovery Well No. 1, is a defunct oil well and national historic site of Canada, which commemorates the September 21, 1902 oil strike in what is now Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta. First Oil Well in Western Canada is situated 2½ km northwest of Alderson Creek.

It is located at the southwestern terminus of Highway 5, approximately 54 kilometres west of the Town of Cardston and 55 kilometres south of the Town of Pincher Creek. Waterton Park is situated 4½ km east of Alderson Creek.
