Chrome Island is the site of a light station in the Salish Sea/Georgia Strait on the coast of Vancouver Island in an area known as Baynes Sound. It covers an area of 187 hectares, stretching from the Shingle Spit ferry landing in the west to Ford Cove in the east. Mount Geoffrey Escarpment Provincial Park is situated 3½ km north of Chrome Island.
