Branchton is an unincorporated community in Ontario, Canada. It is recognized as a designated place by Statistics Canada. The settlement was named for its location on the Galt-Brantford branch of the Great Western Railway, abandoned in 1986. Branchton is situated 6 km east of Deans Lake.

Galt is a community in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, in the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Ontario on the Grand River. Prior to 1973, it was an independent city, incorporated in 1915, but amalgamation with the village of Hespeler, the town of Preston and the village of Blair formed the new municipality of Cambridge. Galt is situated 7 km north of Deans Lake.
