The town had a population of 169 at the 2021 Census, down from 275 in the 2006 Census. Lushes Bight-Beaumont-Beaumont North is situated 4½ km southwest of Giles Island.

Little Bay Islands is a largely vacant town, in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It was an outport community which subsisted for nearly two centuries until the fishing industry in the area collapsed in the late 20th century. Little Bay Islands is situated 10 km west of Giles Island.
