Locality
Leechtown is at the confluence of the Leech River into the Sooke River in southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The ghost town, off BC Highway 1 is about 59 kilometres by road northwest of Victoria. Leechtown is situated 3½ km northeast of Golledge Creek.

Sooke is a town of 13,000 people at the southernmost end of Vancouver Island. Sooke is best done as a day trip from Victoria but can also be a stopover on the way to Port Renfrew.
