Sheringham Point Lighthouse is located on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, in the community of Shirley. Built in 1912 following the fatal wreck of the SS Valencia six years earlier, it is still used for navigation.

French Beach Provincial Park is a provincial park on Vancouver Island, between Sooke and Jordan River, British Columbia. The area has a day use parking lot and B.C. provincial campground. French Beach Provincial Park is situated 3½ km west of Kirby Creek.
