The Morris Island Conservation Area is operated by the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority. Located on the Ottawa River near Fitzroy Harbour, the Morris Island Conservation Area consists of 47 hectares of forested woodlands and wetlands. Morris Island Conservation Area is situated 3½ km northeast of Mississippi River.
Arnprior Solar Generating Station

It was developed and is owned by EDF EN Canada and is operated by EDF Renewable Services, both units of EDF Energies Nouvelles. Arnprior Solar Generating Station is situated 2½ km south of Mississippi River.
