Moose Factory is a community in the Cochrane District, Ontario, Canada. It is located on Moose Factory Island, near the mouth of the Moose River, which is at the southern end of James Bay. Moose Factory is situated 8 km northeast of Pakitahogan Island.

Moosonee is a town of 1,500 people in Northern Ontario. Called the "Gateway to the Arctic", it is Ontario's only saltwater port where goods are transferred from trains to aircraft and barges to more northerly communities.
