Nanaimo is the central hub city of Vancouver Island in BC, Canada. It is the second largest city on the island and has the second biggest harbour. In many ways it is the smaller cousin of Victoria.

Cedar is a small community in the Canadian province of British Columbia. It is located near the east coast of Vancouver Island — about 8 kilometres south-east of Nanaimo — along the banks of the Nanaimo River. Cedar is situated 9 km south of Pilot Bay.
