First Oil Well in Western Canada is situated 3½ km northeast of Rowe Creek.

It is located at the southwestern terminus of Highway 5, approximately 54 kilometres west of the Town of Cardston and 55 kilometres south of the Town of Pincher Creek. Waterton Park is situated 8 km east of Rowe Creek.
