Terrapin Mountain is located southeast of Lake Magog in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park and straddles the Continental Divide marking the Alberta-British Columbia border.

Mount Magog is located on the border of Alberta and British Columbia on the Continental Divide in the Canadian Rockies. It also straddles the shared boundary of Banff National Park with Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. Mount Magog is situated 3½ km west of Terrapin Mountain.
