Courtenay is a city of about 26,000 people on the east coast of Vancouver Island, in British Columbia. Together with the Town of Comox and the Village of Cumberland, Courtenay lies in an area known as the Comox Valley between the Beaufort Range and Comox Glacier in the west, and the Strait of Georgia in the east.
