Fox Glacier village is in "Glacier Country" on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. Tucked discreetly into the rainforest-clad foothills of the Southern Alps, it has a stunning outlook across surrounding farms and offers breathtaking views of New Zealand’s two highest peaks, Aoraki/Mt Cook and Mt Tasman.

Chancellor Hut is an alpine hut in the Southern Alps of New Zealand. It is located on the Chancellor Ridge near the edge of a cliff, 200 metres above the Fox Glacier, at an altitude of 1,260 metres above sea level in the Westland Tai Poutini National Park.
