The Maniatoto Plain, usually simply known as The Maniatoto, is an elevated inland region in Otago, New Zealand. The region roughly surrounds the upper reaches of the Taieri River and the Manuherikia River.
Gimmerburn
Locality
Gimmerburn is a farming community on the Maniototo Plain in the Otago region of New Zealand. It is situated 11 km southwest of Ranfurly and largely consists of sheep and dairy farms with the focal point of the community being the Gimmerburn Domain, a sporting and recreational complex. Gimmerburn is situated 2½ km west of Rotherwood.
