Mount Woolley is a 1,743-metre-high mountain in Canterbury, in the South Island of New Zealand. It is located 12 kilometres west-north-west of the town of Hanmer Springs, close to the western end of the Hanmer Range, a curved ridge with several peaks between 1500 and 1900 metres in height. Mount Woolley is situated 3½ km northwest of Rogerson River.

The Māori name for Hanmer Springs is Te Whakatakanga o te ngārahu o te ahi a Tamatea, which means "where the ashes of Tamatea's fire lay", referring to Tamatea, the captain of the canoe Tākitimu.
