Ohoka is a small semi-rural township on the northern outskirts of Christchurch in New Zealand. The New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage gives a translation of "place of the stake for a decoy parrot" for Ōhoka.

Flaxton is a small rural community in between the towns of Rangiora and Kaiapoi in the Waimakariri District, New Zealand. Flaxton is situated 2½ km northeast of Ohoka Stream.

Kaiapoi is a town just north of Christchurch on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It lies 17 km from central Christchurch, and north of the Waimakariri River. The town is a separate community, but also a commuter suburb of its city neighbour.
