Egmont National Park

Egmont National Park is in Taranaki, New Zealand. It was the second national park to be established in Aotearoa way back in 1900, with only Tongariro National Park in Waikato/Manawatu-Whanganui being established prior.

Mount Taranaki, officially Taranaki Maunga and also known as Mount Egmont, is a dormant stratovolcano in the Taranaki region on the west coast of New Zealand's North Island. Taranaki Maunga is situated 3½ km north of Upper Lake Dive Track.

Mangōraukawa/Lake Dive

Mangōraukawa / Lake Dive, formerly known as Lake Dive, is located in the south-east of the Egmont National Park at a height of 907 m above sea level. It was discovered in 1887 by Bradshaw Dive on his descent from the summit when he saw what he believed to be a lake.
