Rawhitiroa is a locality situated in South Taranaki, New Zealand. It is positioned approximately 6.5 km east of Eltham. According to the New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage, Rāwhitiroa translates to "long-shining sun". Rawhitiroa is situated 5 km northwest of Lake Rotokare.

Eltham is a small inland town in South Taranaki, New Zealand, located 50 kilometres south of the city of New Plymouth and southeast of the volcanic cone of Mount Taranaki. Stratford is 11 kilometres north, Kaponga 13 km west, and Hāwera is 19 km south. Eltham is situated 9 km west of Lake Rotokare.
