Ōnoke is a locality in the Hokianga region. Located at the mouth of the Whirinaki River, it was the site of Frederick Maning's house. Ōnoke locality covers 11.09 km2 and had a population of 90 in the 2023 New Zealand census. Ōnoke is situated 2½ km west of Opara.

Whirinaki is a locality on the Whirinaki River in the south Hokianga, in Northland, New Zealand. The name means "to lean against a support". Highway 12 runs through it. Opononi lies to the south west, and Rawene lies to the north east. Whirinaki is situated 5 km south of Opara.
