Ōhaeawai is a small village at the junction of State Highway 1 and State Highway 12 in the Far North District of New Zealand, some 250 km from Auckland.

Maungaturoto

Maungaturoto is a 282 metres high basaltic scoria cone, in the Kaikohe-Bay of Islands volcanic field in New Zealand. It was the site of a pā.

Tarahi is a 388 m high andesite volcano, in the Kaikohe-Bay of Islands volcanic field in New Zealand that was never a pā. Northwest of Tarahi is a smaller, 350 m basaltic scoria cone, Haruru pā, before the higher cone of Te Ahuahu. Tarahi is situated 3 km southwest of Ohaeawai.

St John the Baptist Church is an heritage-listed Anglican Church and associated churchyard built in 1831 by the Church Missionary Society at Te Waimate mission at Waimate North, inland from the Bay of Islands, in New Zealand. St. John the Baptist Church is situated 4 km north of Ohaeawai.
