Locality
Kutarere is a community in the Ōpōtiki District and Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island, on the coast of the Ōhiwa Harbour. Following the European settlement of the Ōpōtiki township, Kutarere became a port for incoming goods until October 1959. Kutarere is situated 8 km northwest of Iwiroa.

Waimana is a rural valley in the Whakatāne District and Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand's North Island. It is located in the northern Te Urewera. Waimana River, originally known as Tauranga River, runs through the valley, joining the Ohinemataroa River one kilometre south-west of Tāneatua. Waimana is situated 10 km southwest of Iwiroa.
