Hamlet
Ngātapa is a rural community in the Gisborne District of New Zealand's North Island. In late 1868 and early 1869 between 86 and 128 followers of Te Kooti were executed on nearby Ngātapa hill after the siege of Ngatapa. Ngātapa is situated 7 km south of Oruahea Stream.

Locality
Puha or Puhatikotiko is a locality between the Waipaoa River and the Waikohu River in the Gisborne District of New Zealand's North Island. It is located close to the confluence of the two rivers on State Highway 2 close to Te Karaka, inland from the city of Gisborne. Pūhā is situated 10 km northeast of Oruahea Stream.
