The Donald River is a river in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. It flows southeast from the Kaweka Ranges in the Kaweka Forest Park, reaching the Tutaekuri River 20 kilometres west of Napier.Places of Interest

Kaweka J, also known as Mount Kaweka or Kaweka, is the highest mountain in the Kaweka Range. Situated in the central North Island of New Zealand, it has a total height of 1,724 metres. The mountain is the highest point in the Hawke's Bay region. Kaweka J is situated 2½ km northwest of Donald River.
