Makotuku is a locality in the Manawatū-Whanganui Region of New Zealand's North Island, about 3 km2 west of Ormondville. The settlement formed around the temporary railway terminus and was often called Makotoko. Makotuku is situated 4½ km northwest of Awaroa.

Ormondville is a locality in the Manawatū-Whanganui region of New Zealand's North Island. It is located inland, south of Waipukurau and west of Flemington, Hawke's Bay. Ormondville railway station opened in 1880, but services ended in 2001. Ormondville is situated 5 km north of Awaroa.
