Patearoa is a small settlement in inland Otago in New Zealand's South Island. It is located 20 kilometres southwest of Ranfurly, in the Maniototo and was originally known as Sowburn. Andrew Buchanan was an early runholder in Patearoa. Patearoa is situated 5 km south of Crieve.
Gimmerburn
Locality
Gimmerburn is a farming community on the Maniototo Plain in the Otago region of New Zealand. It is situated 11 km southwest of Ranfurly and largely consists of sheep and dairy farms with the focal point of the community being the Gimmerburn Domain, a sporting and recreational complex. Gimmerburn is situated 8 km northwest of Crieve.
