Ophir is a census-designated place in Tooele County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Salt Lake City, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 24 at the 2020 census, a decrease of 14 from the 2010 figure of 38. Ophir is situated 4½ miles northeast of Tooele.

Mercur is a historical hard rock mining ghost town in Tooele County, Utah, United States. In 1891, it became the site of the first successful use of the cyanide process of gold extraction in the United States, the dominant metallurgy today. Mercur is situated 4½ miles east of Tooele.
