It is on the Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road and is the eastern terminus of service on the LIRR's Babylon Branch – and additionally serves as a major hub for Suffolk County Transit buses. Babylon station is situated 1,900 feet southeast of Babylon Memorial Grade School.
