The Sorlie Memorial Bridge, also known as the Red River Bridge, was constructed in 1929 by the Minneapolis Bridge Company to connect the cities of Grand Forks, North Dakota and East Grand Forks, Minnesota. Sorlie Memorial Bridge is situated 2,200 feet southwest of East Grand Forks City Hall.

East Grand Forks is a city in Northwestern Minnesota. It's the smaller neighbor of the much better known Grand Forks, North Dakota. EGF's population peaked at about 8,985 in 1996 estimate, before the city was badly damaged during the incredible Red River Flood of 1997.
