New Prague is a city in Scott and Le Sueur counties in the state of Minnesota. The population was 8,162 at the 2020 census. Although the northern portion of the city is located within the Metropolitan Council geographic area, the City of New Prague, through special legislation, is outside the Metropolitan Council review area/approval jurisdiction.
