The Chittagong Export Processing Zone, also known as Chattogram EPZ, is the first and one of the eight export processing zones in Bangladesh. Established in 1983, it is located in South Halishahar, Chattogram. Chattogram Export Processing Zone is situated 1½ km west of Noā Hāt.

Karnaphuli Export Processing Zone is an export processing zone in Bangladesh located at the city of Chittagong. It was established in September 2006 on about 222.42 acres of lands in North Patenga and Halishahar area in the city. The Port of Chittagong is the main seaport of Bangladesh. Located in Bangladesh's port city of Chittagong, and on the banks of the Karnaphuli River. The port handles over 70 percent of Bangladesh's export-import trade, and has been used by India, Nepal and Bhutan for transshipment. Chittagong Port is situated 2½ km northeast of Noā Hāt.
