Parthenon

The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, that was dedicated to the goddess Athena. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of classical Greek art, and the Parthenon is considered an enduring symbol of ancient Greece, Western civilisation, and democracy. Parthenon is situated 1½ km south of Residence Georgio.

The Epigraphical Museum of Athens, Greece, is unique in Greece and the largest of its kind in the world. Its collection comprises 14,078, mostly Greek, inscriptions, which cover the period from early historical times to the Late Roman period, primarily in Greece. Epigraphical Museum is situated 390 metres northeast of Residence Georgio.

Omonia

Omonia is an underground station under the Omonoia square of Athens, and an interchange between Athens Metro Lines 1 and 2. The first station opened in 1895, but was relocated underground and redesigned by the Hellenic Electric Railways in 1930. Omonia is situated 250 metres southwest of Residence Georgio.

Omonoia is a neighborhood in downtown Athens, Greece, centered on the square of the same name and served by the Omonoia station of the Athens Metro. Historically the heart of the city, it has experienced serious urban decay in recent years, becoming plagued by drug dealing, prostitution and theft, especially in its western part.
