Es Castell
Es Castell is a town of almost 8,000 people at the mouth of the port of Maó in the east of Menorca. The town takes its name from the Castle of San Felipe, which was built to protect the island against attacks by the Turks in the 16th century.Places of Interest

St. Philip's Castle was a fortress guarding the entrance to the port of Mahón. It is located in the municipality of Es Castell, on the island of Menorca.

L'Illa del Rei, also called Hospital Island in English, is a small island in the middle of the main navigable entry channel to Mahon on the northeastern side of Menorca in the Mediterranean Sea.
