Südvorstadt is a locality in the south borough of Leipzig, Germany. The Südvorstadt is crossed from north to south by the Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse. Due to its proximity to the city centre, but also to larger green spaces, it is a popular residential area with old buildings of the Gründerzeit period. Südvorstadt is situated 5 km north of Markkleeberg.
