Lake Cowan is a lake 0.5 nautical miles south of Lake Vereteno in the east part of the Vestfold Hills. The lake, which resembles a seal in plan, has been visited by ANARE parties several seasons following 1957.

Parker Hill is a hill exceeding 135 metres, located just east of Lake Cowan in the east part of the Vestfold Hills. The hill was the site of a wind-run pole erected by an ANARE party from Davis Station in 1969.
