Cheong Wa Dae

Cheong Wa Dae, also known as the Blue House, is the executive office and residence of the president of South Korea. Located in Seoul's Jongno District, directly behind Gyeongbokgung Palace, it served as the center of presidential administration and state receptions from 1948 until 2022. Cheong Wa Dae is situated 1½ km south of P’algak-chŏng.

Sukjeongmun is one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon period. The gate is also known as Bukdaemun. Sukjeongmun Gate is situated 710 metres south of P’algak-chŏng.
