Le Portalet is a mountain of the Mont Blanc massif, located west of Praz de Fort in the canton of Valais. It lies on the range between the glaciers of Trient and Saleina.

The Saleina Glacier is a 6 km long glacier situated on the north-eastern edge of the Mont Blanc Massif in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It flows in a roughly north-easterly direction from the Aiguille d'Argentière, down towards the Val Ferret.
