Piz Bernina

Piz Bernina is the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps, the highest point of the Bernina Range, and the highest peak in the Rhaetian Alps. It rises 4,048 m and is located south of Pontresina in the Bernina Region and near the major Alpine resort of St. Moritz, in the Engadin valley.

Piz Bianco is a minor summit north of Piz Bernina, in the Bernina Range of the Alps. It is located south of Pontresina in the canton of Graubünden. Culminating at 3,993 metres, Piz Bianco is the highest point of the snowy ridge named Biancograt.

The Bernina Pass is a high mountain pass in the Bernina Range of the Alps, in the canton of Graubünden in eastern Switzerland. It connects the famous resort town of St. Moritz in the Engadin valley with the Italian-speaking Val Poschiavo, which ends in the Italian town of Tirano in Valtellina. Bernina Pass is situated 9 km east of Sass dal Pos.

Cavaglia is a small hamlet on the western flank of Val Poschiavo in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. Perched at 1,703 m on the hanging Plan da l'Alp terrace, it lies roughly 4.7 kilometres north-west of Poschiavo village but 700 metres higher, making the road distance 11 kilometres and the Bernina Line rail journey about 25 minutes. Cavaglia is situated 10 km east of Sass dal Pos.
