At 2,501.9 metres above sea level, Säntis is the highest mountain in the Alpstein massif of northeastern Switzerland. It is also the culminating point of the whole Appenzell Alps, between Lake Walen and Lake Constance.

The Silberplatten is a mountain of the Appenzell Alps, overlooking the Schwägalp Pass in the canton of St. Gallen. Its 2,158-metre-high summit is located southwest of the Grenzchopf, which marks the border with the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden.

Schwägalp Pass is a high mountain pass in the Appenzell Alps between the cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell Ausserrhoden in Switzerland. The pass is named after the Schwägalp peak on the north face of Säntis. The pass road has a maximum grade of 12 percent.
