Parthenon

The Parthenon is a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, that was dedicated to the goddess Athena. Its decorative sculptures are considered some of the high points of classical Greek art, and the Parthenon is considered an enduring symbol of ancient Greece, Western civilization, and democracy. Parthenon is situated 1¼ km west of Panathinaikon stadium.

The Lyceum (, Ancient Greek: Λύκειον, romanized: Lykeion /lý.keː.on/ was a temple in Athens dedicated to Apollo Lyceus. It was best known for the Peripatetic school of philosophy founded there by Aristotle in 334 BC. Lyceum is situated 670 metres north of Panathinaikon stadium.
