Chitterpari is located in the northern plains of the Punjab region, about 6 kilometres west-southwest of Mirpur, 95 kilometres north-northwest of Islamabad, and 1,000 kilometres northeast of Karachi. Chitterpari is situated 5 km east of Dhok Dar.
