The Anchorage Alaska Temple is the 54th operating temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the first in Alaska. Dedicated on January 9, 1999, by church president Gordon B. Anchorage Alaska Temple is situated 2½ miles northeast of Anchorage Coastal State Wildlife Refuge.
