The Glenwood Houses is a 22.39-acre moderate to low income public housing development operated by the New York City Housing Authority in the Flatlands section of the New York City borough of Brooklyn.

South Shore High School

South Shore High School is one of the two defunct New York City public high schools in Canarsie, Brooklyn, the other being Canarsie High School. Opened in 1970, it had a capacity of 4000 students in grades nine through twelve.

Canarsie is a mostly residential neighborhood in the southeastern portion of Brooklyn, New York City. Canarsie is bordered on the east by Fresh Creek Basin, East 108th Street, and Louisiana Avenue, on the north by Linden Boulevard, on the west by Ralph Avenue, on the southwest by Paerdegat Basin, and on the south by Jamaica Bay.
