North Fork of Pound Lake

North Fork Pound Reservoir is a reservoir in Wise County, Virginia. It was built in 1966 as authorised by the Flood Control Act of 1960 and managed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. North Fork of Pound Lake is situated 2 miles west of Town of Pound.

The Pound Gap of Pine Mountain is on the Virginia/Kentucky border between Jenkins, Kentucky and Pound, Virginia. It served as a passage for early settlers to cross into Kentucky from Virginia. Today, U.S. Route 23 passes through the gap. Pound Gap is situated 2½ miles northwest of Town of Pound.
