South High School

Minneapolis South High School, commonly known as South, is a comprehensive public high school in the Corcoran neighborhood of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Founded in 1885, the school is housed in a building constructed in 1970 that features a blend of modern and historic architectural styles.

The Minneapolis Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery is the oldest extant cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. It was established in 1858 as a privately owned burial ground known as Minneapolis Cemetery or Layman's Cemetery. Pioneers and Soldiers Cemetery is situated 1,400 feet north of South High School.
