Opened in May 2008, it served as the home stadium of the Texas AirHogs of the American Association of Professional Baseball from 2008 through 2019, and of the USL League Two soccer team Texas United from 2017 to 2019. Grand Prairie Stadium is situated 2½ miles northwest of Grand Prairie Armed Forces Reserve Complex.
